Hosted by comedian Aziz Ansari, the 2010 MTV Movie Awards took place in Los Angeles on the evening of Sunday, June 6. The night's events were chronicled on the MTV Movie Awards official website.

With Sandra Bullock being the first woman to receive the MTV Generation Award, Tom Cruise showing up and dancing with Jennifer Lopez, and the host Aziz Ansari parodying 2009 American movies “The Blind Side” and “Precious,” the evening was filled with hilarious moments.
The biggest winner of the night was definitely The Twilight Saga New Moon. Given the Award for Best Movie of 2010, New Moon also brought several awards for its stars. As a continuation of the miracle last year, 20-year-old Twilight actress Kristen Steward won the Award for Best Female Performance for her role as Bella Swan.

Twilight main actor Robert Pattinson, starring Edward Cullen in the movie, received the Award for Best Male Performance and Award for Global Superstar. The Award for Best Kiss of the year went again to Steward and Pattison, who also received the award last year, for their performance in the Twilight series.
Even though The Hangover did not make it for the Best Movie, its actor Ken Jeong was the topic of the ceremony. Jeong, who starred as the Korean crime boss Mr Chow in the film received laughs for wearing a leotard and parading around the stage, and the audience had tears of grateful thanks to his wife who went overcame breast cancer. "The reason why I [appeared in 'The Hangover'] is that she taught me that life is short, so don't be afraid to take chances,” said the actor.

Rain, a famous singer and movie star from Korea, won the Award for the Biggest Badass Star for his performance in Ninja Assassin. The Asian superstar accepted the award and said in English “wow, I appreciate it. It´s amazing”.
