FlashForward, the TV show, was cancelled by the ABC network, in a move that didn’t really come as much of a surprise to many. So there will be no future to be seen for the show, not even in the next blackout.

So, that means that it will all be over for fans of the TV series at the end of the season. The final episode of the show is set to air on May 27.
The show did have a very good start, with intriguing characters and very good actors, but it got lost along the way in complicated storylines and too many additional characters.
Still, that’s not the reason why FlashForward got cancelled – the reason rarely is an artistical one. The reason was, as always, the low ratings the show got. And this, even if the show got some good reviews at first and viewers seemed to enjoy it.
Of course, there are already petitions being started to save the show, but they will probably do little to change ABC’s decision.
The initial idea was for FlashForward to replace Lost on ABC, but ratings didn’t even come close to the ones of the hit series.
