The colt returned $103.20 for a $2 win bet. The $2 exacta with Pioneerof the Nile paid $2,074.80, and Musket Man completed a trifecta that paid $41,500.60.
That was not the first time this decade we saw a Kentucky Derby winner pay over $100.
Giacomo pulled off the upset in 2005, paying $102.60. The exacta with longshot Closing Argument paid a hefty $9,814.80, with the trifecta with Afleet Alex landing third paying $133,134.80.
If you had the superfecta it was a life changer: $864,253.20.
