This is the latest WFAA Weather Center forecast, updated today, Friday at 9:40 AM. WFAA posted on twitter just few minutes ago “Blizzard Warning from Abilene to Wichita Falls through 6pm, visibilities less then 1/2 mile, dangerous driving conditions.”

WINTER STORM WARNING FROM 9 AM THROUGH 6 PM FOR DENTON AND COUNTIES FARTHER NORTH AND WEST. ACCUMULATING SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES WILL IMPACT THE REGION BEGINNING IN THE LATE MORNING AND LASTING THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING. AWINTER STORM ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR DALLAS, FW AND MCKINNEY THROUGH 6 PM.
A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT ACROSS ALL OF NORTH TEXAS THROUGH 9 P.M. THIS EVENING. A HIGH WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR COUNTIES NORTH AND WEST OF FORT WORTH THROUGH 6 P.M. WIND GUSTS MAY BE AS STRONG AT 55 MPH. SUSTAINED WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO NEAR 40 MPH.
