Forget politics. Our First Lady of Fashion, Michelle Obama, was looking red-hot in blue at the May 19 State Dinner.

FLOTUS floated the red carpet (yes, there was one!) in a royal one-shoulder confection designed by Chicago native Peter Soronen. Michelle's State Dinner dress came at the request of unofficial First Stylist Ikram Goldman, who only "hinted that it was for the First Lady," Soronen told the Huffington Post.
Mrs. O lit up the evening in her fourth custom-designed Soronen gown. You might recall her earlier Soronen looks: Michelle donned a corseted scarlet affair for the annual Alfalfa Dinner back in January 2009 and a glittering gunmetal extravaganza the following month.
Paired with sapphire-and-diamond baubles and a wide, rhinestone belt, Michelle's cobalt State Dinner dress was well-suited to such a regal event. A fresh crop of curls topped her showstopping look.
