Phillies fans cheered one of their own last night as a 17-year-old baseball fan stood up and walked out of the team's stadium after being tased by police. He'd jumped the fence and ran around the outfield, successfully evading capture until one officer pulled out a stun gun and took the unprecedented step of tasing a fan to get him off the field.

Phillies fans cheered the young fan as he ran across the field, and even the players seemed to be stifling laughter with their gloves held over their faces. While the fan, whose name has not been released because of his age, will be charged with criminal trespass, some thing the taser was a step too far.
Philadelphia police spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore said Tuesday that the situation is currently under investigation to determine whether the use of the taser "was proper use of the equipment."
