Today Puerto Rico was shaken by an earthquake that has no reported injured or deceased people according to latest information. The quake damaged some houses and reportedly caused a rock slide that affected a highway.

The Puerto Rico earthquake today was of magnitude 5.8 according to the U.S. Geological Survey and is another one in the stream of quakes that have been striking different parts of the World this year making earthquake kits popular.
The depth has been located at 113 kilometers and the epicenter at 101 kilometers from San Juan, the capital of the country.
Damaged houses are in the towns of Florida, Vega Baja, Lares, Moca and Utuado. Government is still assessing damages and has sent a team of engineers to evaluate the state of the damaged homes and provide earthquake kits.
